Life skills at the bike shed

Earlier this year UPS were given 20 BMX bikes by Peter Banks from the Department of Education's Sports In Schools program. 

Some of the bikes have needed repairs and Stage 3 students have been working with our general assistant, Stew Doyle and Mrs Croan to fix the bikes. Tyres and brakes are being replaced and all safety checks are being done so that the bikes are ready to go in 2022. 

Students who pass the Bike Track Proficiency Test can borrow one of these bikes if they can't bring their own, making the bike track available to any primary student. 

These students not only get to help the school, but are learning some life skills in the process and having a lot of fun along the way!
