Amelia co-captains Shoalhaven soccer team

After disruption to the footballing calendar the Shoalhaven Girls soccer team was excited to travel to Bathurst for the 2022 Country Cup to represent Southern NSW after winning The Branch Titles in May.

The Country Cup is conducted annually to find the best NSW Country team.

Our very own Amelia C (pictured back row - centre) was selected as co-captain of the Shoalhaven Representative team after showing impressive leadership skills on and off the field, consistently setting a high standard for herself and the team.

The girls played 6 games in 2 days and made the Country Cup final against Griffith, the only undefeated team. This was a physical game with the Shoalhaven girls matching Griffith in every aspect of the game and creating some amazing opportunities. The game went to a penalty shoot-out and unfortunately, the girls lost 2-4, resulting in them being runners up.
